In this show, video game characters envisage their future on the Oregon Trail while present day characters reflect on their origins, a confrontation that is spatially manifested through my design that places the two time-spaces across from each other and mediated by a liminal playing space. In designing two discrete yet structurally and chromatically parallel ends, I wanted to emphasize the narrative and affective parallels felt by Jane, who exists in the present but finds herself immersed in the Oregon Trail video game.
