Every year, the Dolphin Show stages the largest student produced musical in America. In 2024, the company’s highest grossing season to date, I had the honor of set designing their 81st annual musical: Kinky Boots! Conceptually, the three levels, multiple entrances/exits, and modular factory desks of my design materialize the sources of tension in the story – workplace hierarchy, social exclusion, creative rebellion – such that actors may demonstrate and remedy these conflicts through their navigation of the stage.
